A fictional architectural firm in Ayn Rand's book The Fountainhead noted for designing super-cheesy buildings.

Palace Of Hilarity

McKinney, Tx

I started laughing so hard when I saw this
my son Joel asked me what was wrong.
Then he looked at the thing and he started laughing too.

Note the totally pointless columns on the corners.

I didn't notice the lions until I was taking this photo.

Then I had to zoom in to get this.
There are 4 of these on the front corners.
One on each corner.
The lion adds such a regal touch to the transformer!

Run-Of-The-Mill Castle Crap

McKinney, Tx

Blah blah. More huge castleness.
Note the extend-o-scroll thingie over the
window above the entry.

Yawn.

More Run-Of-The-Mill Castle Crap

McKinney, Tx

Blah Blah Yawn. Notice the super-high ramped up gable.

The gable looks even more ridiculous from this angle.
It's so obvious that it's there just to be BIG!!
It looks somewhat like the tail of a 747 sticking up.

The Way-Beyond-Bad, Worst Of The Worst

Fairview, Tx

What can be said about this? Not much.
The off-center windows with the bulges above.
Ohhh, how neat! A bridge over the drive-way. Whoopie!!

The photos don't really capture the enormity of this.....
uh...thing. It has to be seen in person.

The entry isn't finished yet. This thing has been proceeding at
a snail's pace. Last summer it was framed and now it just has
the stone finished. I can't wait to see what the entry is going to
look like. There are pallets of all kinds of nonsensical items sitting
out front. I bet they are all for the entry poritco.
Get a load of the giant bulge all the way across.

I have yet to figure out the giant protruding window things
Get a load of the double overhangs. What the hell is that
all about?
